Day 01: Wednesday, November 3rd: Depart U.S.A.
Depart United States for Tel Aviv. If you purchased the air package from Minneapolis / St. Paul, Chicago or Houston, you will meet the Tour Director in our connection city (Toronto). Departures available from other cities for an additional price. (M)

Day 02: Thursday, November 4th: Arrival in Israel. Tel Aviv & Bat Yam
Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv. Clear Israeli immigrations and customs formalities and follow your escort to the "Groups Assembly Exit". Meet George, our Holy Land expert outside of Customs. Proceed to St. Anthony Church in Jaffa for a thanksgiving Mass (for a safe voyage). Enjoy a terrific dinner with your fellow pilgrims and relax as you adjust to Israel’s time zone. (M, D)

Day 03: Friday, November 5th: Jaffa.
Start the day with a fabulous breakfast. Then visit the historical port town of Jaffa. This town commemorates the place where St. Peter gave his farewell speech before departing for Rome. The last place where St. Peter lived in the Holy Land is just around the corner. Mass is celebrated at St. Peter’s Church where Peter received a vision. Free time for lunch in Jaffa while you enjoy views of Tel Aviv beach. Return to your hotel in Bat Yam for a relaxing afternoon at the promenade or by the beach. Dinner and overnight. (M, D)

Day 04: Saturday, November 6th: Caesarea, Mt. Carmel, Nazareth
Depart for Caesarea, the old capital of the Roman Province. See Roman and Crusader ruins, and the harbour from which St. Paul was taken prisoner to Rome. Continue on to Haifa where we visit Mount Carmel (Holy Mass) and enjoy panoramic views of the port, River Kishon, the Mediterranean and Haifa. Afterwards we travel to Galilee for your three night stay by the Sea of Galilee. (B,D)

Day 05: Sunday, November 7th: Cana, Nazareth & Mt. Tabor
Day starts with a visit to Nazareth and visit the Basilica of Annunciation where Holy Mass is celebrated. Visit the Church of St. Joseph’s Workshop. Continue onto Cana, scene of Jesus’ first miracle (turning water into wine). Visit the Church of the Wedding Feast. Travel to Mt. Tabor this afternoon, site of the Transfiguration of Jesus. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight. (B, D)

 
 


Day 06: Monday, November 8th: Sea of Galilee Boat Ride, Capernaum, Tabgha, Beatitudes and *Caesarea Philippi. 
Walk to the shores of the Sea of Galilee (also known as the Lake of Genesareth or Sea of Tiberias) and take the memorable boat ride across the same lake Jesus walked. Then travel to Capernaum; there we see the ancient synagogue of Capernaum, and St. Peter's house which was later converted into a church where Holy Mass is celebrated. By the shore we visit Tabgha with the Church of Peter's Primacy and the famous ancient mosaic of the Loaves and Fishes. A memorable fish lunch follows (included - St. Peter’s Fish). Continue to the Mount of Beatitudes where the Sermon on the Mount is remembered. * Afterwards, if conditions are favorable and time allows, we can travel to beautiful Caesarea Philippi. (B, L, D)

Day 07: Tuesday, November 9th: Jordan River, Jericho, Qumran, Dead Sea
and Jerusalem.  If conditions are favorable, we will be able to travel to the real site of Jesus’ Baptism by the Jordan River (normally not accessible). Otherwise we will visit a tourist center to see and touch the waters of the Jordan. Afterwards drive to Jericho via the Jordan Valley by the excavations of the oldest city in the world (Holy Mass celebrated at a parish in Jericho). View the Mt. of Temptations. Visit Qumran (where the Essene enclave was) and see the caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were hidden. Dip in the therapeutic waters of the Dead Sea. End up in Jerusalem for dinner and hotel (5 night stay). (B, D)

Day 08: Wednesday, November 10th: Bethlehem all day

Start a wonderful day in Bethlehem and see the Church of the Nativity and below it, the cave-stable of Jesus' birth. Holy Mass celebrated at a special place (surprise). Afterwards we divide into small groups to share lunch at the homes of local Christian families. After lunch we drive to the town of Beit Sahour where we find the Shepherd's Fields, inhabited by Christians for hundreds of years. (B, L, D)

Day 09: Thursday, November 11th: Jerusalem: Mt Olives, Gethsemane, Betrayal Cave, Kidron Valley & Caiaphas’ Palace. 
This morning we drive up to the Mount of Olives for a wonderful view of Jerusalem. See the Place of Ascension and the Pater Noster Church (site where the “Our Father” prayer was first taught), and walk the Palm Sunday way. At the foot of the hill see the Garden of Gethsemane with its ancient olive trees and the Church of All Nations (with the rock where Jesus prayed in agony). Holy Mass is celebrated here. We drive down to the Kidron Valley and see the Pool of Siloam, and St. Peter in Gallicantu (where St. Peter denied Jesus) built over the palace of Caiaphas, the High Priest. (B, D)

Day 10: Friday, November 12th: Jerusalem: Old City, Temple Area, Christian Shrines. 
Start the day very early, praying the Stations of the Cross as we walk the true Way of the Cross (Via Dolorosa), ending up at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, where Jesus was crucified (Calvary) and buried, and then rose again. Continue with an unforgettable High Mass at the Tomb (pending confirmation). Then visit the Wailing (or Western) Wall, with views of the Al-Aksa Mosque and Dome of the Rock. See the Pool of Bethesda scene of one of Jesus’ healings (the paralytic and the wind-ruffled pool water). Visit the Convent of Zion Sisters and St. Ann’s Church (birthplace of the Virgin Mary). See the site known as David’s tomb and then visit the Caenaculum, the place where the Last Supper occurred as well as the Descent of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. Leave the old city through the bazaars to the west, by the Jaffa Gate. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight. (B, D)

Day 11: Saturday, November 13th New City, Museum, Model, Ein Karem (Visitation). 
Drive to the New City, passing the Hebrew University and the Knesset, visit the Israel Museum and the Shrine of the Book (Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit) and then to the 2nd Model of Old Jerusalem. Drive to Ein Karem, birthplace of John the Baptist and the Church of the Visitation, site of Elizabeth and Zachariah’s home, where Holy Mass is celebrated. (B, D)

Day 12: Sunday, November 14th: The Man of the Shroud Exhibit, Bethany and Emmaus. Farewell Dinner & Evening departure for USA.
Start the day with an amazing one of a kind exhibit called “The Man of the Shroud” at the Vatican Mission in Jerusalem. Mass celebrated here. Then travel to Bethany, home of Lazarus, Martha & Mary (now a Catholic Church). Continue on the road to Emmaus where Jesus accompanied the two disciples and broke bread before disappearing. Enjoy our farewell dinner reminiscing of all our good times spent together. This evening, transfer to the Ben Gurion Airport to be processed for our night departure flight. Prepare to undergo top security (lengthy) before boarding. Relax on your overnight flights as you return to U.S. time. (B, D)

Day 13: Monday, November 15th, 2009: Arrival to the U.S.A.
Morning arrival in the U.S.A. Upon arrival in Toronto, we are processed by Canadian and U.S. Immigration and Customs. Afterwards, proceed to your connecting flight to either Minneapolis / St. Paul, Chicago or Houston. (M)
