Afterwards, you may opt for a personal day at leisure in Lourdes or you may want to follow your escorts on an informal orientation walk of the land of St. Bernadette, including the sanctuary and sites like the Mill, where St. Bernadette was born, and the "Cashot", where Bernadette’s family lived. Afterwards view a special video presentation in the main office. Remainder of the day at your leisure.

After breakfast arrive at the Convent of the Sisters of Charity for Mass. Here we can admire the incorrupt body of St. Bernadette. There will be time for prayer and meditation before departing Nevers. Head North from this beautiful region of France to visit Chartres. Our visit features the beautiful Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Chartres, famous for housing on of the most precious relics, The Tunic of the Virgin Mary. Continue on your way to Lisieux, home of St. Therese of the Child Jesus, one of the Doctors of the Church. Visit Les Buissonnets, the house where Therese lived 11 years of her life. The house is preserved as if the Martins were still living there. Then see the St. Peter’s Cathedral of Lisieux which still conserves the confessional used by St. Therese for her 1st confession. The Cathedral has a very interesting history dating back to the year 1149. Check in for two nights in Lisieux and then join the group for dinner.

Here is the tomb of St. Therese adorned with a beautiful color statue reproducing the way St. Therese lie at her death. Visit the beautiful and massive Basilica of St. Therese
before departing for the beaches of Normandy to see the D-Day Invasion Landing Beaches, where thousands of allied soldiers fought to liberate France from the evils of Nazism. Many brave soldiers lost their lives here so afterwards we visit the famous and impacting American Cemetery, with thousands of tombstones in perfect formation. A prayer service will be made here for the many souls of the buried soldiers, and also for the protection of the many men and women in our Armed Forces, wherever they are in the world. Return to Lisieux for dinner on your own.
