Italia Bellissima

Departing from Denver, CO.  Other cities may be available at an additional price.

Come to Italy with Mater Dei, for this beautiful pilgrimage visiting unforgettable places like Bari, Monte Sant'Angelo, San Giovanni Rotondo, Lanciano, Manopello, Loreto, Assisi and Rome!

Start in Bari, by the Adriatic Sea, the final resting place of St. Nicholas aka "Santa Claus". Then visit San Giovanni Rotondo to explore the life of one of our favorite Saints, San Padre Pio, and pray before his incorrupt body! Enter the amazing caves at Monte Sant'Angelo, which commemorate the miraculous events that happened there with St. Michael the Archangel!

Then travel to Lanciano, home of the oldest Eucharistic Miracle in the Church (a host turned into heart tissue)! Continue to Manopello, to pray before the Veil of the Holy Face. Learn the amazing similarities between this Veil and the Shroud of Turin, the Sudario of Oviedo and even the Divine Mercy image!

In this pilgrimage, we will also step into a little piece of the Holy Land when we visit Loreto, the Basilica which houses the Virgin Mary’s Home from Nazareth! Afterwards, make an unforgettable spiritual visit to quaint Assisi, following in the footsteps of St. Francis and St. Clare!

There is more!  As with all of our pilgrimages to Italy, you will receive  a top-notch visit of Rome’s treasures!  And as an an added bonus, we have requested to participate in Pope Francis' General Audience* and receive his apostolic blessing!! * (Pending on the Holy Father's schedule). Remember that a Plenary Indulgence is offered to pilgrims (meeting all the traditional requirements) who visit the 4 Patriarchal Basilicas in Rome as well as the Porziuncula in Assisi!

Chaplain/Spiritual Director: Fr. Ronald Sequeira, O.C.D., Carmelite Priest in the Archdiocese of Denver, CO, and Parochial Vicar at St. Francis Cabrini, Littleton, CO.
