Day 1: Tuesday, July 8th - Depart USA:  Depart Chicago's O'Hare Airport for Warsaw, Poland. Enjoy dinner, drinks and video entertainment onboard as you fly into the European continent. *Air transportation is also available from other cities for an add-on price, call for different options (including land-only options).  See registration for more details. (M)

 

Day 2: Wednesday, July 9th - Arrive in Warsaw, Poland: Arrive in Warsaw this morning and proceed through European Union Immigration.  A thanksgiving Mass for a safe arrival is planned at St. Faustina's Convent at 3-9 Zytnia Street.  Check in at our hotel. This evening, join your fellow pilgrims for a welcome dinner.   (M, D)

 

Day 3: Thursday, July 10th - Warsaw: Start the day with a tour of Warsaw including sites like the Old Town, Market Square, Barbican, Warsaw Jewish Quarters, Ghetto Monument, Lazienki Park, Chopin's statue and the Royal Castle.  Remainder of the day at leisure. (B)

 

Day 4: Friday, July 11th - Warsaw, Swinice Warckie - Niepokalanow -Czestochowa: Depart for Czestochowa this morning,  making a few stops in route, like Swinice Warckie to visit St. Casimir parish church, where St. Faustina was baptized.  Then on to visit Niepokalanow, home of the Basilica of the Virgin Mary (Holy Mass planned here) and the Franciscan Monastery founded by St. Maximilian Kolbe.  Then on to Jasna Gora, home of the Black Madonna.  Arrive in Czestochowa in time for a group dinner. Day 5: Saturday, July 12th - Czestochowa: Today we dedicate the entire day to visiting Poland's greatest pilgrimage shrine of all, Jasna Gora, housing the precious image of Our Lady of Czestochowa.  Mass and Confessions at the Shrine.  (B)

Day 6: Sunday, July 13th - Wadowice,  Kalwaria - Zebrzydowska, Zakopane:  Depart for Zakopane via Wadowice (birthplace of John Paul II) and Kalwaria - Zebrzydowska.  Holy Mass is planned for Wadowice (might be in Polish with locals).  Continue to Zakopane in the beautiful Tatras Mountains.  Join your fellow travelers for dinner in Zakopane. Day 7: Monday, July 14th - Zakopane area: Today we have an excursion to the Zakopane Area where we visit the Hermitage of St. Albert.  Holy Mass requested at Our Lady of Fatima church (built in thanksgiving to Our Lady of Fatima, for saving Pope John Paul II from the assassin's bullet on May 13, 1981).  Walk on the same trails John Paul the Great used to walk, enjoy views of the Tatras Mountains, and a ride on a raft on the Dunajec River, and a cable-car to Gubolowka.  (B)

 

Day 8: Tuesday, July 15th - Krakow: Depart for Krakow this morning.  Arrive at beautiful Wawel Cathedral (where Karol Wjotyla was ordained Cardinal Archbishop of Krakow- Holy Mass planned here), and then visit the Royal Castle including the tombs of the kings.  Remainder of the afternoon at leisure.  Tonight, meet your fellow pilgrims for dinner. Day 9: Wednesday, July 16th - Krakow - Auschwitz: Start the day with a tour of Krakow including sites like the Market Square, the Bugler from St. Mary's tower (playing the famous Hejnał), St. Mary's Basilica (Holy Mass planned here), Cloth Hall, and Burgher's House.  In the afternoon travel to the Auschwitz Nazi Concentration Camp, where we make a special visit to the cell of St. Maximilian Kolbe and also visit the Martyrdom Museum.  (B)

 

Day 10: Thursday, July 17th - Krakow - Shrine of Divine Mercy:  After breakfast, depart on an excursion to Lagiewniki visiting the unforgettable Shrine of Divine Mercy, St. Faustina's Convent Chapel and her Tomb (Mass planned at the Shrine). Upon return to Krakow, join your pilgrim family for our farewell dinner. (B, D)

 

Day 11: Friday, July 18th - Return to USA: After breakfast travel to a nearby church for our farewell Mass, then transfer to the Krakow International Airport for our return home.  We are blessed by our Priest before we board our non-stop jet bound for the USA.  As our airplane takes off, take one last look at a beautiful land that now holds a special place in our hearts, and say:
